Eden Coffee began as the passion project of Kian, an expert barista who spent 4 years in the coffee industry before branching off to start his own business following the shutdowns of 2020. Officially launching in Spring of 2021, Eden Coffee was running an extended pop up during the summer which is where Sofiya became a regular customer of Eden Coffee, and eventually, Kian’s wife the following year.

 

Now, the two of them as a young married couple, both entrepreneurial and coffee lovers alike, run Eden Coffee together. Kian uses latte art as an outlet of artistic expression, and has placed well in multiple high-level latte art tournaments, including a third place at the 2022 SF Coffee Fest. The two love that the coffee industry has a balance of social, analytical, and artistic qualities, which keep their multifaceted minds satisfied.

 

Outside of work, the two both love good food and travel. Kian is a talented cook at home and continually tries to learn new recipes for Sofiya.
